Villa Brignoli is an ancient farmhouse dating back to the 1600s. Initially, the property was attributed to the Guerieri Counts family, who were succeeded in the same century by the Rizzardi Counts, a renowned Veronese family among the nobility of that era.
It has been documented that when Emperor Franz II of Austria came to Val d′Adige for his hunting expeditions, the Rizzardi Counts, along with other noble families of the region, were accustomed to accompanying him during these prestigious occasions, in these very locales. Around 1800, the original structure was supplemented with the addition of the main façade, marked by double lancet windows and spires, denoting a clear reference to the Gothic/Venetian style. It is believed that it was the wife of Count Rizzardi, of Venetian origins, who wanted this modification, likely as a means to forever commemorate her lineage.
The main entrance also underwent alterations during the same time. Until then, carriages could enter the inner courtyard through a small road that reached the bank of the Adige. From there, you could reach the upper part of Rivalta via a flight of stairs and continue towards the church or the house of the Cipriani Counts, who were cousins of the Rizzardi Counts. Now, the avenue connects the new road to the new façade of the Villa.
In the 1980s, the Villa was bought by a local individual, to then be purchased by the Brignoli family in the 90s, who made it their family residence after renovating it in all its parts, while preserving its original appearance. The park, as it is found today, was also established by the Brignoli family. With their arrival, the Villa began hosting numerous events in its park, ranging from weddings to birthday parties, thereby breathing new life into it.

Today the Villa is fully available to guests, who have the option to stay by just renting the rooms or opting for a "Vacation Home" package where they rent out the entire property.
